We brought them a ring that was already worth far more to me than anything you could put on a price tag. It was my mom’s. I wanted to have it reconditioned so I could wear it, which sounds like a fairly straightforward jewelry errand until you are standing at the counter holding something that belonged to someone you loved very much and trying to explain why getting it right matters so much. They got it. They were kind. Patient. Careful. They explained everything, answered every question, and never once made us feel rushed or like this was simply another ring coming across the counter. And then we got it back. Oh my goodness. Look at her. She sparkles like she has somewhere extremely important to be. The workmanship is beautiful, but what I’ll remember most is the care. Van Adams understood that they weren’t just restoring jewelry. They were helping me carry something precious from one chapter of my family into the next. I walked in with my mom’s ring. I walked out with something I can wear on my own hand and keep telling her story with. That is a pretty extraordinary thing for a jewelry store to give someone. Five stars doesn’t quite cover it. My 30 year old wedding band needed sized up a half size, and my ring that my father gave me 63 years ago had a broken band and had lost its luster. The prices were extremely fair and both pieces look brand new. I'm very happy with the work done. Van Adams Jewelers Connie and Don were so very friendly and helpful. I will most definitely return to do some holiday shopping.
