If I could give zero stars, I would! I called Ashok Jewelers Mississauga to inquire about selling my gold jewelry and was assured over the phone that they have a machine to accurately measure both the weight and purity of gold. Based on this, I booked an appointment expecting a professional and transparent process. However, when I arrived, the owner was extremely rude and unprofessional from the start. Instead of using the promised machine, he insisted on giving me an arbitrary estimate without any proper testing. When I questioned this, he became even more aggressive and pressured me to accept his lowball offer, saying I would have to remove the jewels from the set if I wanted an accurate assessment. I had multiple gold sets ranging from 18K to 22K that I was hoping to sell, yet he refused to test them properly and tried to deceive me with an unfair price. Their website falsely advertises that they buy gold from 10K to 22K using a machine, but in reality, they rely on vague estimates to rip people off. In the end, the offer he gave me was shockingly low compared to what I was offered elsewhere. This place is a scam, and they prey on unsuspecting customers. To make things worse, I later learned from people in my circle that they force customers to leave great reviews by offering discounts on jewelry. So don’t trust the positive reviews—they are manipulated and misleading! If you're looking to sell gold, stay far away from Ashok Jewelers! There are many honest jewelers in Mississauga—this is NOT one of them. Do not waste your time here!
